How long do side effects from low dose naltrexone last?
I have anti mag neuropathy, among other issues, taking Cymbalta and Lyrica. My neurologist wanted to start me on Rituximab but insurance wouldn't approve. This supposed slow progressing neuropathy is not slow on me! I just started low dose naltrexone on Sunday, taking it at night. I am exhausted, no energy which is really unusual for me, major brain fog, headache, and so far no relief but it is only 5 days. Any one have experience with LDN and can give me an idea of how long these reactions last?

I’ve been taking LDN for four years and never experienced any side effects from the drug.
It works very well for pain but I still take some Lyrica, as needed.
My problem isn’t pain anymore - just numbness & stiffness.
I started LDN only a week ago and am going off gabapentin and Cymbalta. I started from an exhausted baseline and cannot if LDN is helping or causing any problems. I am not that helpful but perhaps blended with the experience of others this might help.
Side effects from low dose Naltrexone like fatigue, brain fog, headaches and low energy commonly last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, and many people do not notice symptom relief until several weeks or even months into treatment, although if the side effects are severe or keep worsening it is worth asking your neurologist about lowering the dose or changing the timing because some people with complex Peripheral Neuropathy simply do not tolerate LDN well.
