How do I make an appointment with Oncology?

My Nephrologist and Urologist both strongly suspect I have a blood cancer (possible multiple myeloma) and want me to seen ASAP by a oncologist at Mayo. So, is the best way to do this is to have primary physician refer me to Mayo Oncology or schedule an appointment with Central Appointments?

You can either self refer or your provider can refer you. If your provider is suggesting Mayo, I would ask him to refer you. He can start here: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63

It is same link that you can request an appointment yourself.

If you submit the request, you will receive a call to set up a time to talk with an appointment coordinator. You or your doctor will be given instructions on how to submit relevant medical records, test results, imaging studies, etc. Mayo Clinic doctors review records sent by you or the referring physician in order to tailor each patient's visit to the right tests and provider needed. This also helps ensure the patient is scheduled with a provider who has the expertise that best match to their needs and condition. Appointments are based on your medical condition, urgency and available appointments.
