How do I get on disability in MO?

I live in MO and that's one of the hardest states to get disability on. A family friend only got on disability when her disability put her in a coma. One of the reasons I cannot work is due to my crippling OCD and apparently they rarely give it to folks with OCD.
My OCD has hospitalized me (though at the time it was called anxiety)
I'm in therapy for OCD, on meds for OCD, but I still struggle

I can't even leave my house due to triggers and the obsessive fear of getting sick

Please help. Coach me through this. What do I say? I need disability or else I don't know if I will be able to make it to 30.

Btw I'm 26 if that matters.

@emi00309 Your situation sounds so very difficult.

Are you looking to apply for disability through the Social Security Administration?

Apply Online for Disability Benefits:

Or a state disability program in Missouri?

What have you tried so far for your applications for disability?

@emi00309 Good morning. Here is another resource for disability that is specific to OCD.

International OCD Foundation--Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Social Security Disability Benefits:

Do you know what is available within Missouri for disability?
