How can a person have fibromyalgia and not given all info needed?

Posted by yinetpepin @yinetpepin, 4 days ago

My friend was told she may have fibromyalgia but other things are causing her issues inflammation in entire body, acute tiredness. Can't hardly walk. How can she obtain an appointment in the Mayo Clinic and is this a clinic that she will finally get answers?

@yinetpepin was it a doctor who said she might have fibromyalgia? The pain from fibromyalgia is in specific areas called trigger points. If she presses on those, and has pain then she will know. There are illustrations that show where the trigger points are.
Has she seen a Rheumatologist? If not, that is where she should start.

I hope she gets the information she needs.

I can honestly say that joining this group has given me more insight and information than all the doctors that I've ever seen. It's let me know that I've had this probably since at least pre-teen years. I would have to stop on my way home from school or after school practice. I am just now succumbing to this. I wish your friend well.

Ask your Doctor for information and google it. Because if you google it check web sit. Mayo and other clinic have sites with good information.
Also; google/scholar. Is a good place to look.

Not much or precise information has been provided to her. But thank you so much I will encourage her to see a rheumatologist. Thank you!
