Hormone Therapy

I am getting ready to start hormone therapy with orgovyx and have read that it can cause brain fog. Can anyone who has experienced this tell me how bad it is. My wife has memory issues and can’t help out driving me to radiation treatments or cooking. I am concerned this make it difficult to keep up with my treatments, so I have not committed to hormone therapy in my mind just yet.

In my city there is a daily service provided that transports people to and from treatments if needed. You would certainly qualify for that if it is offered in your area.

My husband is taking Orgovyx and continues to work and drive. No issues with the Orgovyx. The 3-4 days after chemo are another story. Serious chemo brain and fog for a few days.

I just hit my 1-month-anniversary on Orgovyx. No brain fog and I drive with no issues. 69-year-old male for reference. I could do without the hot flashes that started a few days ago though. New respect for menopausal women.

I had 6 months of Orgovyx at age 68 and experienced no brain fog.

No brain fog. I continue driving.
I lost weight the first two months but recovered.

All ADT hormone therapies might cause brain fog.
But, you’re more likely to experience hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, muscle atrophy, loss of strength and endurance, loss of libido, possibly ED, mood swings, emotions, and fatigue - all symptoms that are often related to menopause.
Yes, there may also be forgetfulness, confusion, brain fog, memory loss, insomnia, etc., but nothing that’s debilitating.
There are ways to minimize most of those ADT side-effects,

I'm 2 weeks from finishing a 6 month regimen of Orgovyx and I've had no brain fog or really any other side effects. Only minor side effects I've had are loss of libido (but not 100% loss) and very mild warm flashes (not really hot flashes, just get a little warm once in a while, lasts for a few minutes). From research I've read, and the experience of many on this forum, including me, is that exercise is vital to counteracting side effects. Good luck with whatever you decide.

I am on month 5 of 6 month Orgovyx regime and no brain fog, hot flashes, or other side effects. From my perspective, Orgovyx appears to be a far better hormone treatment than Lupron and other old school therapies.
