Hip problems

Posted by januaryjane @januaryjane, Aug 24, 2025

Had some mris done and a few things came back on my pelvis.
Osteoarthritis, hip effusions, bursitis,and chondral labral seperation on both sides.

Last week I had injections in my SI joint and it has helped me with pain and walking.
Im just not sure if this is something caused by a fall or what. I had a bad fall in February but you think it would be better by now.
Im just new to the hip stuff, I mean I feel it all but has never been taken seriously.
Hoping it will heal with a little tlc and pt.
My other mris showed slight stenosis in many places, osteoarthritis, and osteophyte complex in cervical spine.
Ive been referred to a neurosurgeon just to make sure that's ok.
Been busy!!

@januaryjane
Your post made me realize that I have been suffering for too long with my hip pain and it is not getting better. I may need to get an updated MRI of my hips (last was early 2024) to see what has improved/worsened (have had 2 spine surgeries since then but the hip pain really makes basic things very hard to do). I may need steroid injections plus I would benefit from physical therapy. Thanks for the nudge! 😉
