Help for pulsatile tinnitus?

Has anyone come across a way to silence the heart throbbing ear sounds? Even white noise isn’t working for me and it’s increasingly hard to ignore.

I have been suffering from complex musical ear syndrome for eight years. I have found that fatigue and stress make it worse. So much so that the sounds become almost metallic... as if they were reflected in a metal capsule. Rest, strict diet, no stimulants and frequent walks away from the hustle and bustle of civilization. You may also consider the fact that you need more sleep.

Wow, that seems terribly challenging to deal with. When you say diet, do you mean eating healthy or specific foods? Also, does avoiding coffee help?

Avoid products that increase blood pressure

Welcome to Connect @wishbone. Tinnitis is such a chronic problem with few successful solutions. Mine is from an acoustic neuroma, and radiation damage to my other ear. I find that loud noises worsen it and certain sleeping positions result in it being terribly loud when I awaken. Have you had a medical workup for this? I ask because I have a friend who had worsening pulsatile tinnitis and a scan showed an aneurysm near her ear which was successfully treated to alleviate the symptom. Hopefully more folks will chime in with their suggestions.

I get very good relief from a hitly not heart begh dose (6x day) Lipo-Flavonoid supplement I take for the tinnitus I have. Excess salt and too much nonsteroidal inflammatory drugs like advil and naproxen make the tinnitus much worse. Good luck with your problem.
