I just found out I have an ulcer. Any help on how to handle to gas, burning, burping. I am taking Pantaprozole twice a day . I find I still get symptoms.
Yes , I don’t have h pylori. The ulcer was due to changing medications . From compactor Cipralex. The Cipralex was hard on my stomach. It’s very hard because I’m coping with the ulcer and trying to get back on my original medication. Thanks for the reply.
I know how miserable that is. I had the same condition, probably caused by taking ibuprofen, meloxicam, and aspirin after a surgery. (Coffee and tea may have played a role, too). Chronic nausea for months. Took pantoprazole 40 mg once a day, and it helped tremendously. I believe I had an ulcer but by the time I got the endoscopy they found nothing, so it possibly healed. I hope yours will heal also. Just as a note here, pantoprazole does have serious side effects if we stay on it too long, and getting off of it can be a pretty big production because there is a rebound effect of severe acid reflux. It took me a while to taper off, but eventually I did and so far so good. I hope your condition will improve, also, and the best of health will be yours, Kind regards, LL

When I had my bleeding peptic ulcer my hemoglobin was at 7. My heart was pounding like a freight train. I had no nausea or gas. They cauterized my small intestine. I only drink decaf green tea, unsweetened almond milk, 9.5 ph water and low acid half caffeine coffee in the morning with unsweetened almond milk as a creamer. I refuse to give up coffee. Almond milk is alkaline. Give up booze, soda and all citrus juice. No vinegar products at all. A good book is the acid watcher diet. Good luck and I hope you find relief.

Sorry not compactor. It is Clomipramine
Eat low acid foods and no aspirin or ibuprofen.

2 Reactions@mitch4444, glad you've connected with @llmartin @riflemanz64 @seniormed. Tagging a few members who also may have some thoughts for you, such as @fourof5zs @musicbart @hgarm @annieg87, who may know how to handle the gas, burning and burping with a peptic ulcer, despite taking pantoprazole (Protonix).
mitch4444 - did the pantoprazole resolve any symptoms you were having?
