Having pain 2 months after completing radiaton and chemo

I been having a hard time with swallowing food and liquids seem to want to go down wrong pipe after swallowing my ct scans came back with no tumor dr says he thinks im cured but im concearned with these symptoms its going to come back

I had a tumor on my vocal chords i forget the type it wasnt from std probrably from smoking i was told 90 percent are cured after a month or two goes to 95 percent after 6mth

Hello @iceman1. How long ago was your surgery? Have you talked to the surgeon or oncologist about referral for physical therapy or swallowing therapy? It sounds like this might be beneficial to you. Scar tissue from surgery and radiation can continue to form and cause restrictions but there are ways to help with the proper therapist. You might have to travel to find a therapist who specializes in treating head and neck cancer patients.
