Hashimoto's Desease

I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's Desease which is causing hypothyroidism. Hashimoto's is an autoimmune system issue, and I have other autoimmune system issues. Since Hashimoto's is related to an overactive immune system I am surprised that it does not react of immunosuppressant drugs.
