Has anyone used liraglutide to help manage an autoimmune condition?
Liraglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist, is being studied for its potential anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects, which may offer benefits for autoimmune diseases. I’m curious if anyone here has personal experience using liraglutide for an autoimmune disorder—if so, what was your experience in terms of symptoms, side effects, or overall impact?

Thank you for posting, I did not know about this. Sounds interesting! I will now do some further research.
Cheers, Leonie
Interestingly enough, my husband started Wegovy (another GLP-1) to help lose weight, and he has Sarcoidosis, an autoimmune condition that causes nodules in the lungs and enlarged lymph nodes. His pulmonologist was happy he’d started it and said there seemed to be some indication that it has anti-inflammatory effects. He’ll repeat his CT-scan in a year so I guess time will tell!
