Has anyone tried Intarosa for vaginal atrophy?
Hi all: I am 13 years past menopause (63) and have tried mostly everything for vaginal symptoms of atrophy, itching, soreness, dryness. I’ve settled on the estring for the last few years which seems to work fairly good. My issue is every few months either the soreness or itchiness flares up and can last for weeks. I’m at wits end. For a while supplementing with estrogen compounded cream only during these flares seems to calm it down but not always. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to this. My gyno suggested trying this Intrarosa daily suppository which has an androgen as well as estrogen…ugh daily messy insert once again. I’m loathe to try unless I know for sure there is not some other bloody skin thing going on. Has anyone tried the Intrarosa and how has it gone for vaginal symptoms? Thank you for listening.

Yes I have. For me it was not successful..

What testing has your gyno done? Have you had any bloodwork, imaging or biopsy done to see if there is anything else going on? Have you had bloodwork for hormones or inflammation/autoimmune response?

You might want to ask your gynecologist about Premarin Vaginal Cream. It's worked really well for me for over 20 years.
Hi there: thank you for the links, I think I have been on most of them lol in my research. My next move was to ask for biopsy to rule out any of those skin things like Lichen Sclerosus, or psoriasis etc. I have not had blood work for autoimmune response…what can that show? Just curious. I was told hormones fluctuate constantly so what would be the point as bloodwork would only show your levels for a moment in time. It’s so frustrating
I think Premarin was the first one I tried years ago lol. Did not work for me
Have you tried anything since the Intrarosa. Can I ask what you didn’t like about it?
