Has anyone tried infrared or red light therapy to relieve neuropathy p
I was recently told that a friend's parent used infrared or red light therapy to successfully relieve neuropathy. Is anyone using it? Or is that another bogus claim?

I have used low-level laser therapy and it was very expensive. My neuropathy consisted of extreme numbness without pain. The therapy improved my condition by about 65% but it was not long lasting.
I've been doing FULL BODY INFRARED LIGHT therapy since August 13th and I just had my 9th session at a local facility. The full body machine is medical grade and FDA cleared. I have experienced pain relief and reduced redness / numbness of toes and feet and reduced burning...but those things are intermittent and I understand that red light results are cumulative and the more you do it the longer the results are noticeable and the better the results will get.
I pay $159/month (signing up for 3 months at a time) and for that I can do up to 20 sessions a month so the per/session price is aroune $8 IF I DO all 20 sessions. I wait a minimum of 24 but preferably 36-48 hours between sessions as I've learned to do via my own research. Just as muscles need recovery time after a heavy weight workout and doing another weight lifting session too soon would be counterproductive...so it goes for the cells that are bathed in INFRARED light!
I'll report back after I have completed the suggested 6-8 weeks of INFLAMMATION sessions and then switch to NEUROPATHY program. The idea is that INFLAMMATION seems to be at the root of MOST maladies. So addressing that will allow the neuropathy programmed sessions to do their job better!
Where are you getting these sessions at?
This is a very interesting note about full body infrared light treatment, as I've been looking into this. I have a couple of questions, please. Can you tell me the name of the full body machine you are using (the manufacturer)? Also, you made reference to the "inflammation" sessions and then switch to the "neuropathy program." I've been looking for some guidance, i.e. help with determining length of treatment, wavelength (near infrared, etc.), and other help to determine how to proceed. The places I've visited in the greater Milwaukee area, that have full body machines/beds, don't have answers to these questions – they're not well trained, and they are not medical people. So, if you could point me to where to get some of this information, that would be great. Thanks.
