Has anyone switched from Prolia after one injection?

I had one Prolia injection. I hate the side effects. The rheumatologist says I can’t switch even after one injection. Please help.

lizd, you can stop Prolia after one injection. There is no better time to quit than after a single injection.
There are doctors who say there is no proof of risk after one injection and others who say they've never seen fractures after one injection. https://www.youtube.com/watch at about 19 minutes in.
I wouldn't be willing to risk quitting without a replacement bisphosphonate, unless I could get the bone marker CTX at monthly for several months following the final injection.
The Rheumatologist is mistaken. You might fare better with a change of physician. How many months has it been since your Prolia injection?

@gently I am due for the second one on Feb 12. I have an apt with an Emory University endocrinologist on Jan 30, the first appt I could get with an excellent doctor of endocrinology.

He is wrong. I quit after one injection. No density loss or fracture.

lizd: Can I ask what the symptoms were that were bothering you?

@mkoch all over aches and pains expecially in the hips while walking, severe shoulder pains, and anxiety that leads to depression, but worsening little sores in my scalp that continue into the fifth month and patches of eczema that produce severe itching
