Has anyone not used medication after First Dexa scan spine -2.8?
I am 57, 5'2" and 110 pounds and have just had my first DEXA scan spinal -2.8 osteoporosis, femoral neck and hips -1.3. I exercise and eat well. I did go through surgical menopuase at 50. I have a blocked LAD artery and use injections of repatha for this. I am giving all these details because I really don't want to start any of these medications and wondering if anyone has ignored pressure from doctors, all of mine are encouraging Reclast. I am scared and tired of looking at all the pros and cons of everything. thank you in advance

@rose140 I started HRT at 64.
@dvargo
Thank you very much…good to know…
if I was in that range I think I would try it too.❤️
@dvargo I bought it but because it has a lot of iron in it unless you are deficient in iron from a test; don't think its good supplement.
@gravity3
Hi, my t-scores were: -2.2 on lumbar spine; -2.9 right femoral neck; and -2.8 on left femoral neck.
I also would strongly recommend getting a REMS scan, as the dexa has many limitations and REMS provides additional info. On my REMS the 5 year risk of hip fracture risk was 1.5% to 3.0% .
I also have a vibrating plate and hired a senior fitness (meaning he works with seniors) trainer.

I've used a site melioguide.com for support with exercise and other helpful info on Osteoporosis. Also OsteoBoston videos on YouTube.
