Has anyone heard of or tried ortholazer treatment for SFPN?
My symptoms are quite similar to Volunteer Mentor John's, so I presume I have small fiber peripheral neuropathy, which first appeared in 2017....and I'm trying to live with it:(.
A friend in Milwaukee WI recently told me that the person she sees in an ortholazer clinic (treatment coming out of Europe and only found in New York and WI) told her they have a setting for neuropathy and have successfully treated some people by "waking the nerves back up so that they work normally, again."
Hasn't anyone heard of this treatment?

This sounds like BS to me, you can't "wake up" a nerve once it's damaged or has died, nerve damage is permanent. End of story.
I think that the OrthoLazer clinics use a multi-synchronized laser (MLS) therapy and there are other members who have shared their experiences with this type of treatment - https://connect.mayoclinic.org/search/?search=MLS+laser+therapy. There is also a discussion on the topic here:

Back when I first started searching for treatments that might help, I did look into a similar neuropathy clinic that used laser therapy along with other related massage and PT to treat neuropathy but it was too much money for me and no guarantees. I'm not sure it was the same type of laser therapy though.

I don’t believe this is really helpful. My neurologist says there is no cure for neuropathy. The best anyone can do with small fiber neuropathy is stop further damage by treating the underlying cause, if known (diabetes, vitamin deficiency/toxicity, alcoholism, etc.). For example, if someone gets chemotherapy, the toxicity of the treatment may damage small nerve fibers. Once chemo is done, the body may be able to develop new nerve fibers and the best way to do this is through healthy diet/supplements and exercise to improve circulation of oxygen/nutrients throughout your body.
There is conflicting information on the use of lasers.
