Has anyone had the surgical procedure called The Dellon procedure?
20 + years , spending the last two trying to diagnose. I found a podiatrist that listened and touched my feet and legs. He performs the Dellon procedure on his neuropathy patients. Anyone know of it or had the procedure done?

Did it help with the tingling??
The procedure is scheduled for August 1 - I will post my updates on this forum/group.
Update: I had surgery on August 1, 2024. It has been a long, painful recovery, and I don't see the light at the end of the tunnel. I was NWB for 30 days, and was recently given a boot - PT is helping. Still, unfortunately, the incision on the side of my foot is healing slowly making it impossible to wear the boot without pain and aggravating and opening the incision. Sadly, my hope is to return to the level of pain I had before surgery. I wish I could recommend this surgery - at this time, I do not.
Hi Patricia
Thanks for the update, looks like three large, painful incisions.
Sorry to read your recovery is not going well. We all were wanting a great outcome for you, giving hope to other suffers.
Post surgery, does the surgeon still think it will eventually help your neuropathy?
Heal fast!

My surgery was not a success. It actually made my condition worse.
Sorry to hear that. I don't know anything about that surgery. But, I am getting fed up with Dr's who tell their patients that it is the best thing to do. One friend, had hand pain.......not carpel tunnel, he couldn't remember the diagnosis, but the Dr. said you will Love it, ...........well 2 yrs later, he was not lovin' it. he said it was more pain after surgery, than before. another dr., convinced someone with a back problem ....one with a neck problem....to have surgery, ............none told them about potential side effects, other than minor ones........the worse one, one lady was convinced to have a surgery on her neck. She died a few hours later..............this is not info that can help you now, but, maybe if others read your experience, and the above, they will at least question potential surgeries...........do research .............and maybe save them from a bad outcome..............And if any dr's read this, whatever happened to ........do no harm?.............at least be truthful, and give patients All the potential problem the surgeries could cause to help them make the proper decision .

I was scheduled to have foot surgery on my heel to remove the bone spurs. I needed to get clearance from my PCP and the SOB would not give me clearance. That was five years ago, and I still have pain in my heel to the point where I can’t even go outside, let alone walk around my house. I went to six podiatrist and unbeknownst to me, they were able to read each other‘s notes. All six of them refused to do surgery on me to remove the bone spurs. They even had the nerve to tell me that the bone spurs were not causing the pain in my heel. The last Dr. said the same thing
All I could do was laugh at him because I didn’t realize that they were all reading from the same script. I. turned around and walked out of the office, advising him where he should go! Frankly, they were all CTA, and didn’t want the liability bc of my neuropathy .
