Has anyone had numbness and burning in both hands?

Have had right and left shoulder replacements over the past 4 months-first right and now left.
Even before surgery I had trouble with carpal tunnel in my dominant (left) hand, and trigger thumb in my right. Both had surgery to correct, with no problems.
Also since rotator cuff tears I have hand numbness and burning occasionally in either hand.
Now I wake up with both hands completely burning with all fingers and thumbs numb.
Surgeon said they don’t go near the ulnar nerve but it can get stretched by being in a sling.Prescribed muscle relaxers and to continue pain meds.

I would like to know if others have both hands with burning and numbness have had diagnosis and/or treatment? I am trying to make sense of this and why both hands would do this at the same time?

What were your hand symptoms before you had your carpal tunnel surgery.
I have numbness and tingling in my right hand, but my left is ok.
I ve just attributed it to neuropathy but I’m wondering if it isn’t and it’s carpal tunnel instead.

Couldn’t hold a coffee cup. Had pain in certain fingers but can’t recall which.
They did nerve conduction tests to determine the diagnosis. They had a glove with electrode connections all over it that you wear. It is connected to a computer and puts out this shock like ‘snap’. That generates a report in detail.
A lot of my damaged hand is attributed to arthritis, but that’s what they say about everything.
