Has anyone had nosebleeds while on Nubeqa?
If anyone has experience with nosebleeds as a side effect of Nubeqa I would like to hear about how you and/or your doctors handled it. Thanks for any comments you may have.

I have been on Nubeqa for 9 or 10 months with no nose bleeds. ChatGPT says its possible, but not one of the more common side effects.

1 Reactionnose bleeds are due to nasal tissue dryness and cracking ( usually)..I have noticed my inside nose tissue is very dry but no nose bleeds...but lots of weird little side effects from ADT : urine has strong smell, occasional metallic taste, hot flashes - intensity seems to wax and wane but mostly at night when I have to pee, occasional aches and pains ( joints and muscles hands, etc) loss of balance but have not fallen..some of this may be due to radiation which I finished in early Dec (45 sessions of photon)
but all very manageable ( after first 30 days of ADT) and it pushed my PSA from 61 to < .02 in less than 3 months and to < .01 in less than 6 months..so now feel like I can buy green bananas on occasion.

1 Reaction@ucla2025, just following up. Are the nosebleeds still happening? What did the oncologist or symptom management nurse suggest?
Haven’t had one for about two weeks. We are going to ask the oncologist about it at our next visit.
I don't have nose bleeds but im always sniffing with little Nasal D/C.
Not nose bleeds but nose drip. Never had to carry a handkerchief or tissues before but do now. Almost flows at times.
This post got my attention. I haven’t been getting nosebleeds but had a black eye develop suddenly. I had started Nubeqa about the same time I had oral surgery (3 months ago now,) on the same side of face as black eye. My oncologist was confident that it was related to the oral surgery. So I’m leaving it at that.
But it also seemed as though there were a couple of cuts and scrapes to my hands and arms that also came out of nowhere. So it’s been in the back of my mind. Also around the same time I had started taking a sleep aid/antidepressant called Trazadone. Along with a consultation with my PCP, I stopped taking that and haven’t noticed the problems anymore. Still, I’m slightly unresolved about the source of bleeding. And no, I’m not taking any blood thinners. Of note, my PCP suggested before we met that I immediately go to the ER as the black eye was a sign of stroke. Which is not. And I am fortunate that Medicare picked up the bills for that ER visit….so far.
All this is to say that I found your post interesting and that I hope you find resolution with the nosebleeds. Funny, I’ve had nosebleeds all my life but nothing with anything connected to my ADT treatments. I am also fortunate that when after 8 years post RP my PSA went quickly from a .3 to 18, the Eligard and Nubeqa have me down to a .02 PSA. (GS in 2017 graded 4+3). 👍
I haven't had nose bleeds but crust inside my nose and when extracted my finger has blood on it but no free bleeding
