Has anyone experienced increased reactions to seasonal allergies?

I have had reactions to seasonal allergens like ragweed and mold in the past. The reactions were always managed by OTC antihistamines. Since being diagnosed with PMR and starting Prednisone a year ago, the antihistamines aren’t working. I have changed types of antihistamine, but the stronger reactions have continued.

I've been on prednisone for 6 months. I do observe an increase in my (generally low-level) allergies, seasonal and other. More coughing than I used to have, also. But for me the OTC antihistamines work about as well as before, no particular change.
