Has anyone experienced a collapse lung during radiation treatments?

My husband has esophageal HPV cancer. He went through 12 radiation treatments and developed shortness of breath and could not lay flat on his back. After many tests, they found he had a collapsed lower lobe on the left lung. It has been 3 months and he still can’t lay flat. He had to stop treatment. Has anyone else experienced a collapse lung during treatments?
