Has anyone ever tested positive for RA after being negative for awhile

I keep testing negative for RA. They are calling what I have Advanced bilateral osteoarthritis. This doesn't exist! 2 1/2 years ago I had no arthritis in my body. My hands are like a 80 year old woman. It has completely torn up my spine! I just got the discs in C4-C5 replaced. Now I'm looking at a vertebrae replacement surgery. Now I have an old fracture at L1 and it's always been a problem. Now I have bone spurs and it's become unstable at T12-L2. I've been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, bilateral hip bursitis, degenerate disc disease, spinal stenosis and this arthritis. This got bad starting at the first of the year. Now I'm on disability, I can only stand or walk for about 45 minutes. Anybody else ever heard of any of this? The MRI of my spine was in 2023. Now T12 is pushed back, L1 is pushed forward toward the spinal cord and L2 is pushed back. The difference in just one year is unbelievable! It really scares me how fast this arthritis is developing. Thanks for listening.

Hello .. I am so sorry things seem to be advancing at light speed for you.
I have RA .. so far it is serum negative RA ... my right side is more advanced than my left side .. my right hand , fingers going side ways, knuckles very large .. just a mess.
Once you have one disease/syndrome .. it opens the flood gates to so many more.
I hope you will slow down and have time to digest all the information, and advocate for yourself if you have no one else standing by with you.
Good luck !

I tested negative for RA and the rheumatologist did an ultrasound on wrist and hand. I have RA nodules. He told me I had seronegative RA but you only get RA nodules in stage 3 of positive RA. I test negative but one test showed 13 and you have to score 14 to be considered positive really just one point.

First time my rheumatologist mentioned it was last week. I went in for a shot in the knee for osteo-arthritis and got a prednisone which has not worked.

My spine is my biggest pain source. But it is getting really bad with the tendon and ligaments being attacked by my immune system. I now have what they call a floating pelvis. I think I may be getting Myositis as my muscles are really starting to ache a lot, My neck and shoulder muscle are the biggest pain source. I am in Wisconsin so wearing a winter jacket hurts really bad. I wonder if it’s something I should tell my doctor about?
