Has anyone anything to comment on regarding medical marijuana?
I am married to a man with peripheral neuropathy (ideopathic). We are so tired of getting our hopes up and then CRASH, they fall down. Have tried so many treatments for neuropathy. I asked our pain doc about medical marijuana, he said, in essence, "sure, you can try it." When I asked if his dad had PN, would he suggest MM? He said "no, because of the side effects that have been reported."
We will pursue this, after we gather lots of information. Anyone have experience in this area?

I only use it to sleep. This is oversimplified, but Indica helps you sleep, and Sativa is for daytime use, so you don't get sleepy.
Just really never worked.
Plus take a full range of supplements eat an anti-inflammatory diet.
I use a salve that is a 50/50 mix of thc and cbd . I put it on my feet at night . I also put magnesium lotion at the same time . It really helps with the pain . I buy thc fummies from Swanson health . I take them at night . They help me sleep . Your regular doctor does not want you trying thc products because he does not make any money off of it .
I used the salve at first, it worked great on my pain but quit after some time. Then I started the gummies. Some days I can tolerate the pain, others I need the gummies. I just take a small bite and it gives me total relief. I just bought some magnesium lotion I’ve used once. It provided some relief but not as good as the gummies.
My Dr is happy that I found something that gives me relief. He is all for it.
Crazy to be advising Oxy. It is so addictive. I would stay away from it. Sorry.
I have peripheral polyneuropathy which is worse than having a baby. At least you can recover from that. I am on an opiod, an anti-depressant, a muscle spasm and an anti- inflammatory script. It is progressing to the point that the burning, buzzing, and numbing sensation has traveled from my toes to my knees so far. It makes it very difficult to walk since along with it, my toes have curled under. These meds help a little with the pain but sedation is a huge side effect. I asked my Pain Management Doctor if I could try medical marijuana. I was told that I could try it but PM will no longer allow me to be a part of this program if I do. I saw a poster in their office that show a new topical medication procedure for PN but you have to have diabetic PN to be able to have this procedure. I do not have diabetes. What the heck? It's still the same pain!
I have used medical marijuana as a topical on my feet. It seems to work for me especially at night. I only use topical. Not sure if you live in a state where medical marijuana is legal. It is in Florida where medical marijuana is legal. Good luck
I use a topical marijuana on m y feet at night. It seems to work just fine for me and gives me some relief.
