Gravel? That moves underneath skin on right hand

Posted by southerngrits @southerngrits, Jul 13, 2023

I don’t know if this is some weird part of one of my autoimmune diseases. I have mixed connective tissue disease and HS. Anyone else had this and know what it is?

@southerngrits, By Gravel, do you mean if feels like lumps moving around under your skin on your right hand? What is HS? - hidradenitis suppurativa?

It sounds a lot like calcinosis cutis- which is a fancy way of saying there is a calcium deposit in/under the skin. Obviously go see your provider to check it out, but does sound like a part of your mixed CTD.
