Mark, I’ll add to my message that my heart just sank when I saw “Good-bye.” I’m glad you joined this forum, found it valuable and were valuable to others here. I remember you commented on at least one of my posts before. Thank you.
I just saw on your profile that you are also a Far Side fan. The one that sticks in my head from long, long ago was one where two spiders built a huge web at the base of a schoolyard slide and the caption read, “If we pull this off, we’ll eat like kings!” So funny. Now when I think of that, I’m also going to think of you and imagine you laughing along with me. We’ll meet again in Heaven. I’ll pray you have a soft landing. 🙏
My heart sank as well. The whole reason I'm even able to write this is due to your comment when my ca19-9 started to rise after being off chemo for 4 months. Nurse practitioner was irritated with ne for being concerned, but I took your advice and used you as an example and got a MRI and that's when the liver lesions were seen. From there I got an endoscopy and drs could see peritoneal nodules and confirmed finally (as I had raised my concern during chemo) that soft tissue around my hepatic artery was cancer and not scar tissue as the radiologist had told my oncologist. I got more chemo after that for another year and was even declared cancer free following radiation for about 3 months. But it came back with a vengeance. I went back on aggressive chemo that temporarily wrecked my bladder and now I'm not getting any treatment. Drs now looking at possible kidney cancer instead of bladder cancer. It's been a roller coaster ride. We have similar aggressive mutations. I'll be there soon myself. You fought a courageous battle and even managed to go to concerts after the fiasco of your first clinical trial. You provided such valuable medical advice to all of us; even with graphs at times! I'm praying for you and thank God with everything thing I've got that you are on this forum! Peace be with you. You'll be making the angels laugh just as you did your fellow pancreatics
with your wonderful sense of humor.
I'm so sorry. I'm so grateful to you for all of the help, advice, wisdom and encouragement you've given to all of us here. I wish your family comfort in their memories of you. Godspeed on your journey as you cross over.
Peace be with you Mark. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with all of us here. Your words of encouragement have helped so many! God bless you.
God Bless You

I just happened to open this today after quite a while away
You will be in a better place but too soon
Wishing comfort and peace to you and your loved ones
