Pain after a Fall: Where to get after care?

Posted by andytheman @andytheman, Oct 16 5:18am

I have been having a lot of lower back pain and neck pain after falling off my walker. I fell hard on my back and left side. My left hip has finally recovered but my back is full of sharp pains on the left side lower back. And back of my neck. I’m on Coumadin and need to be careful of brain bleed.
That happened a month ago. Been painful since then.
Two days ago I did the same thing but fell on my right knee and my knee has hurt me.
I live in an assisted living facility .
The hospital told me and the assisted living facility that everything is ok.

The ALF did not believe that I had to go to the Hospital since they couldn’t find anything. I’m in a lot of lower back pain and the back of my neck and hips
Now I feel like a baby for going to the ER and they feel that I should not have gone. I’m also on Coumadin blood thinner.
Now since that happened I need to go to a nursing home which I don’t want to go.
That’s twice. Since then they asked my occupational therapist they don’t need her. I still have pain and since the hospital said I was fine I don’t like the hospital’s decision. Now what?
I’m 71 and don’t drink or smoke . I think this ER was quick to discharge me and now I don’t know what to do.

That’s what I received. “This is billing “ nothing else except “sorry “ I even used the phone number they gave my to call back and I got billing.
I don’t owe them a dime

I know I do but my pcp comes once a year.. he never answers his phone and his assistant doesn’t respond. Wow I used to have a pcp with a messaging portal but he retired. I left a message with my insurance company asking if a referral is needed and a list of local neurologists that accepts my insurance. They have that information

@andytheman I’m confused re: your PCP only comes once a year? Are you in some type of facility or home?
