Is it possible to have a Gleason score downgraded?

Good afternoon, someone wrote in one of the forum threads that they'd observed something like this. I honestly don't understand it. Is this possible?

Absolutely, and it can go up too. It's all based on the OPINION of any given doctor that looks at your data. While not 100% subjective, it does have a subjective margin. That decipher score can make/break your decision for sure.

Consider ARTERRA for a review of biopsy slides to compare yours with thousands of others using AI. The data sets have been derived prior to the general use of PSMA PET CT scans. One 'PMO'
(prostate medical oncologist) commented that it limits its prognostic value, possibly making it too
pessimistic.

Between biopsy and post-surgery, sure. the biopsy takes a micro slice but the post surgery pathologist works with the whole gland, so more reliable and potentially lower Gleason. My decipher went down post-surgery. Also, if you get a second opinion on your pathology, which I recommend, you may well receive and Gleason that is higher or lower. As previous post indicates, there is subjectivity in the assessment.
