Gift for a doctor?
Hello,
I would like to express my gratitude to a doctor at Mayo clinic and would like to send him and his team something like a gift basket. I cannot find any official guidelines for patients that would state what is allowed or the monetary value limits for such gifts. Would anyone be willing to share their knowledge or experience with this?
Please don't say to just send them a thank you note - I don't feel like that's enough.

I brought the really fancy sugar cookies to my post op appointment. I had a nearby bakery make them. They were individually wrapped and shaped like lungs and some said thank you and my surgeon and his nurses name. They loved them! It is so great to show appreciation when his healing hands helped remove my cancer through surgery. I will forever be grateful!
