Getting off mirtazapine
Been on mirtazapine for 4 months gained 61 pounds, tried to come off of it had bad withdrawal now trying a Prozac bridge anyone successfully get off this medication and lose the weight??

What dose of mirtazapine were you on, if you don’t mind me asking?
I was on 40 (?) mg for about 6 months and gained about 35 lbs. I stopped cold turkey (which is probably not the ideal way to do it) and the weight came off pretty quickly. I was also taking Lexapro, so that probably helped me avoid bad withdrawal symptoms. Best of luck with this!

1 ReactionI took a low dose for 4 months. No weight gain and no problem just stopping. Didn’t help me sleep either.
