Geographical location affects you mentally?
Has anyone move to a new geographical and after they got there was mentally uncomfortable, things didn't go well, they didn't make good decisions, etc.. But where you used to live was nothing like that?

The answer is yes. There is psychological and practical adustments on your part which can throw things off, but there is more.
A person has to feel comfortable in their home. Where they live. What direction does it face? What is the sunlight siuation. Is the energy of the place jammed up, or is there flow. Is it a refuge from the crazy world? Is it a healing atmosphere when you are sick?
(All under feng shuai)
People talk about vortex energy centers around the world, like Santa Fe? Some can use a sixth sense to "feel" good energy or bad energy- get me out of here.
It may come under the heading of something called
"geomancy."
Geomancy feng shuai hi
Definitely, 100%. My wife and I moved our family up to Washington state in 1994 from SO. CAL. where we were both born and raised. There were a few reasons for the move, but overall it was the right thing to do.
The one thing we didn't consider was the differences in the weather, we grew up in non stop sunshine in LA, even in the winter months. Up here, north of Seattle, you have 6 months of clouds, rain, and gray skies(sometimes it's 7 or 8), and a few months of nice weather. The lack of sunshine starts to take it's toll by the end of January or February. Depression is a real thing, especially when you're retired on SSDI and stuck at home with chronic pain.
The Winters up here really suck.
Wow! I wanted to "keep my feet on the ground" here but I think you may have something. But could it also be a whole region where you live, and not just the structure you live in (apartment, house)?
It could be a whole region. I might not be too comfortable in Somalia, for example.
That's obvious. What I meant was if you lived in New England, most people there are very industrious and it creates a simulation in the culture. Most people feel energized. Whereas if you then moved to rural Mississippi where everything is slow you would not feel stimulated. Just a theory.
30 seconds.

I think moving to a new area can be disorienting due to significant changes which can affect mental health. Changes in temperature, altitude and sunlight can affect you physically and mentally. Having to navigate a new place can be stressful and difficult.
I agree that when the place is new it can be difficult to adjust but I am wondering if that can continue long after you have been there? As if the environment there is "pushing" you in the wrong ways.
The question sort of answers itself.
