Genova Test and Low Fodmap diet experiment

Hello, I haven't been active on the website for a while but I just wanted to mention something that has been a big change and help for me. I have had long covid since the beginning of of 2024. Symptoms come and go, the worst is my saccades (vision is jumpy, hard to read anything for long w/o getting head pain and nausea). I had a Genova gut test, it came back possilbe SIBO. I didn't work with a dietician, but I used the Marble FODMAP tool to use breath analysis for different FODMAPS. Inulin came up and the one food I completely quit was Onions. I already have a restricted diet but when I cut onions out, game changer! They wre giving me diarhea, it's gone now. One more problem from long covid I don't have to worry about. Covid affects the gut,and the gut affects a lot of other things. So I think it's worth checking out. I am already grain, dairy and additive free among other things in my diet. Not symptom free, but was a huge help. I keep working on the rest of the symptoms. Wish you all well, a very frustrating illness, not many Doctor's know what to to with us.
