Anyone have Gamma Knife to treat Brain metastasis?

I am stage 4 metastatic her2 positive breast cancer that has spread to the brain. Has anyone had gamma knife to the brain and had it only shrink the lesions some and the lesions not dissolve?

I have no experience with the gamma knife but just wanted to say that I'm very sorry you're going through this & am sending you best wishes for a full recovery!

@mssewest I am sorry that you are going through this new adventure in breast cancer. You are so incredibly brave to even try this. I am not sure I could do this, no matter how relentless this disease feels sometimes.
My heart sank when I saw this post, I always hoped that you were doing really well on the trial protocol.
Did your doctors discuss if there is a possible next step to resolve this?

Has anyone suggested having Proton treatment instead of Gamma radiation?

@mssewest, did the shrinkage of the lesions on the brain help with any symptoms? What is the next step for you?
