Gallstone 6mm.. surgery?
Hello, in 2013 i had foot surgery with Propofol, few days later hospitalized with acute pancreatitis, first time, 6 days npo, home, ( surgeon said propofol has high fat content possibly triggered ) nothing till this past Sunday when insane pain sent me to er, labs, Mrcp, Hida showed 6 mm gallstone in gallbladder no biliary duct blockage,, no surgery ..
I have oral surgery in few days, rather unsure how anesthesia will affect me..
Feeling good now, low fat diet etc
Discharging MD said surgery wasnt necessary, enzymes trending down, had no more pain etc
Hope i didn't make mistake:(

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Pancreatitis is listed as a rare side effect to propofol. Maybe they can use something else given your history? I’ve had several sizable gallstones for at least 2 decades seen on every abdominal CT I’ve had for other reasons and there has never been any talk of removing them. Just an incidental finding. I’ve had propofol several times and have never had pancreatitis, but everyone reacts differently. Talk to the oral surgeon and anesthesiologist ahead of time. Best of luck to you.
Thank you, my pcp saw me post hospital and wasn't happy i didn't jump at surgery.. eben wanted to put in referral .. i certainly know next really bad attack ill consent but i have oral surgery, a disabled daughter who just had sigmoidectomy and husband having prostate surgery in June

PS seeing your "California zebra"
You don't have EDS do you?
You have a lot on your plate already right now. I hope you don’t have more attacks and don’t ever need abdominal surgery. No fun.
No, I don’t have EDS. I used zebra because I have a few other rare disorders.
