Gabapentin interaction with Theraflu Nightime. Fell and could not get up from floor. 911 to Emergency Room. Large muscles lost strength.
Subsided after 1 day but still unsteady walking. Anyone heard of that drug interaction?

John,
Yes, I checked that out after I got home from the Hospital. I was paralyzed for 12-16 hours.
Ambulance took me to the hospital as I couldn't move or even lift my head.

Thankfully getting better slowly.

John,
I also had the flu, which can make anyone weaker. Perfect storm of causes.

@johnbishop
Discussed with GP and Neurologist. Have small fiber idiopathic neuropathy 8 yrs. Low GP dose of 100 mg 6x per day for 8 yrs. Have taken Theraflu before with no problems. Possibly 1 took 1 or 2 extra GP 100mg that night for unsteady walking. Had mowed lawn that afternoon. Still puzzled at serious paralysis lasting 12-14 hours requiring ambulance/ER trip. Resting and hydrating. - Lee
