Gabapentin

Posted by bugsplatterbeast @bugsplatterbeast, Oct 19, 2021

I've developed pins & needles, numbness along with sharp stabbing burning pains & a tightness in my soles. All of the above are in both hands & feet & have developed over the last six months. I'm wondering if it's caused by gabapentin which I started taking for a frozen shoulder two yrs back.

Yes, I do that (progressive tension and relaxation from head to toe, one body part at a time) and it is very effective for insomnia. I have never tried it for pain but I have done fire and ice imagining for an itch inside my boot that I couldn't get to because I was in public. I was surprised that it worked too. Peggy

Tapping and it’s benefits from the Calgary neuropathy Association helps my neuropathic pain and my attitude every morning.
Hipnosis for progressive muscle relaxation and sleep by Andrew Green helps my insomnia at night.
Neither is 100% but both help some

Tapping is something that we do in our meditation group and often to begin our Yoga hour. I agree with you, it does serve as a distraction from neuropathy pain and I like hearing all of the tapping sounds from the group as we begin our day on Zoom.

I have not tried hypnosis. Please tell us more.

May you have peace and ease.

This is the only hypnosis session I have ever tried. He’s comfortable to listen to and I am usually asleep before he is finished. Nothing weird… No barking like a dog or eating onions! Sweet dreams!
