Fuchs Dystrophy, early stages - Should I still get cataract surgery?

I was in the opthamalogist's office for the preliminary appointment for cataract surgery as recommended by my optometrist. The opthamologist identified stage one Fuchs Dystrophy but said it should only cause healing to take a little longer, and not to worry, and to go ahead and schedule. I decided to wait and gather information. I would be interested in any experiences or expertise on this!
