Frankincense and Myrrh for Neuropathy pain

Posted by hotfooted @hotfooted, Fri, Apr 26 7:19pm

Today I saw the Nutritionist that my doctor sent me to.. As usual, my feet were red and burning. She told me that many Diabetics that she counseled used Frankincense and Myrrh drops mixed with a lotion and they swore by it.. wouldn't be without it. She had some and we tried it on my poor feet right then.. It was absolutely amazing! My feet cooled down immediately and they became their normal white skin again. That was this morning and they are still okay at 5:30 in the evening.. My gosh, maybe I'll be able to sleep better tonight… Have any of you tried this? If so, what has been your experience with it? I'm hoping to hear lots of comments back…

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I have severe SFN and Autonomic Dysfunction – lots of nerve pain throughout my body. I experience all that you have described, in both of my hands and up to my elbows. I am going to purchase some Frankincense and Myhhr drops, to see if it will help my hands and forearms. I will let you know my experience with the drops combined with lotion. Fingers crossed, it will help! I am so very happy to hear you have found relief. Very nice to hear. May you continue to get daily and nightly relief!

Hello teetee7… Are you keeping up with my "experiment" posts on the Frankincense & Myrrh NEUROPATHY rubbing oil? Have you tried it yet? and if so, I am so hoping it will help you! My feet are so much better than they were.. I posted earlier today about wearing WOOL socks now to keep my feet warm.. They either burn or freeze nowdays, but the freezing sensation is predominant nowdays… The F&M seems to work on the Small Fiber Nerves, but it's surprising that it has done so much for my Erythromelalgia.. I am just so grateful for it…

I was so desperate I went to foot solutions yesterday.. I purchase a pair of Finns for 255.00 just so I would have something for the trip .. I would never have done this, but nothing was working.. I have purchased no less that 10 pairs from amazon and had to sent them back.. I have a pair coming today that I will have to mail back tomorrow with 2 other pairs I have here. Im' going to get my feet the special orthotics when we get back and pray they help some..IThis foot with planters facistis is killing me, I have had to shots in my heel and they don't seem to help. I do everything on the internet that is suppose to help. I walk with a bad limp because my nerves are partially dead from my spine.. I have only had this awful burning for 3-4 months.. I think I may have had a little in the past,, like don't like cover touching my feet, but never thought that much about it. What is causing yours?? I don't even know for sure what I have . The neuro dr. mentioned sfn.. What meds do you take?? I'm 72 and we had plans to travel, but I have to get better..

Hi.. Did you enjoy your RV trip? I hope the new shoes made it more enjoyable for you.. And did you try the Frankincense and Myrrh Neuropathy rubbing oil when you got home? If your problem is SFN, then this may help you.. and it makes a big difference for my Erythromelalgia.. I have been posted my experience with using it on an almost daily basis.. If you haven't read those yet, you might want to before trying it… Also, I wrote about the shoes that feel the very best for my tender feet and I have spent a fortune on shoes over the past year, too.. like you!

DAY 20 – It seems my feet prefer to wake me up in the wee hours with a burning flare.. Today I woke about 5:00 a.m… removed my wool socks and rubbed both feet with the F&M rubbing oil, altho only the right foot was burning… The really good thing is that altho the foot turns red and swollen and hot, the pain isn't severe like it was a few weeks back.. After an hour or so waiting for it to settle back down, I went back to sleep for 3 more hours.. That's another wonderful thing!! I am getting much more sleep than I did before beginning to use this oil.. Now I'm sitting here in my wool socks, feet up.. and will be making a shrimp stir fry for lunch soon.. What a joy it is to stand at the stove and cook for a few minutes! Don't we treasure the little things when we can do them again!

Hello @hotfooted . Yes, I have been following your posts – I am very thankful you are sharing your results and specific types of pain you feel in your feet and legs. It matches what I go thru with my hands, forearms and feet. I get freezing cold spells on my hands to where I need to wear gloves or even cover them with thick socks. Same with my feet – however, my feet are not as bad as my hands and forearms. It makes it difficult to type for me, due to all the different sensations. I have not purchased the F&M yet, but I will be soon. I have been using a CBD infused pain stick (THC free) the past two weeks. Best wishes for less pain and thanks again for your informative posts!

DAY 21 – Great news today! I slept well all night while wearing my wool socks.. Woke up without any pain, just the usual tingling sensations.. Rubbed both feet and included my ankles with the F&M rubbing oil.. Put on cotton socks and am still feeling so good! Both feet were icy cold this morning, even in the wool socks, but I used the oil anyway.. My calves have more of the tingling sensation now, but I'm all set for a good day, I think… Now I've been checking out Raynaud's looking for any further information to help me.. that doesn't seem to offer anything though, except to maybe wear socks and gloves, which I'm already doing.. By the way, I haven't mentioned it before, but I started wearing fingerless gloves to sleep in (and on really cold days when I can't get my hands warm) a few years ago.. Those have been a huge help, too..
Blessings…

Hi teetee… How is the CBD pain stick working for you? My husband has ordered something similar (I think anyway) for me from a place in Colorado.. Maybe it's the same thing? He was unable to purchase it in a marijuana store and found it is only available from one place in the country now.. My doctor put us onto this topical med.. I'll let you know more about it when it arrives and I've had time to check it out.. Bless your heart, I feel for you and the typing problem.. Not to worry you even more, but you might should check out scleroderma symptoms…

It is available from Walmart and is a combination of the two, plus some other things. I wrote about this yesterday and hoped to sleep all night. Well, it didn't work all night after all.. but I woke up at 3:30 this morning with back and hip pain plus the right foot was red and burning.. I used another cream on all 4 spots and got back to sleep around 4:30.. This other cream was recommended by a friend who has Ankylosing Spondilytis.. Name of this one is Topricin FIBRO Cream and it is very helpful, too.. Not quite as wonderful as the Frankincense and Myrrh, but I just now put it on my hot red right foot and already it is feeling much better. I will post more information about these as I learn and have more experience with them.. I don't know anything about the ones from Amazon except some of the reviews weren't good.. Google them all and read the ingredients listed for each, if they are listed.. I think Amazon sells them seperately and not mixed together.. Several people said they arrived broken.. And remember that the one that I tried at the Nutritionist's office was "drops" mixed with hand lotion.. About 1 tablespoon of lotion with 6 or so drops and stirred up, then applied to the burning foot… I will post more about these when I know more! It was a huge blessing to have my foot immediately start cooling down and beginning to look normal color again. And it lasted for about 12 hours or more!
Hope this helps you and others…

Hi geronimo.. Sure hope the F&M oils help you.. They don't do so for everybody, but I've had really good results so far.. Seems to help mostly with small fiber neuropathy.. and has made a huge difference in my Erythromelalgia burning foot pain.. It's definitely worth a try for you and I hope you get some relief.. Please let me know what happens… Blessings..

DAY – Well, the days got away from me…. I've lost count, but wanted to conclude my experience with F&M rubbing oils now …
A couple of days ago I had a really rough day and couple of nights.. It took me a while to get my feet back under the moderate control that I've had lately, but am doing better again.. I had gone out to lunch with my club friends and altho I thought I was ordering food that was alright, there had to have been SUGAR in it… That's the one thing that sets me off… Believe me, I will be avoiding it forever in the future.. Absolutely not worth all the pain and angst… I believe it was caused by the dried fruit pieces in the salad… I am continuing to use the F&M on my feet and it has started eliminating (for the most part, except for periodic flares!) the red hot burning pain.. I woke up once last night and sprayed them with cold water, then rubbed with the oil, put cotton sock back on and slept another few hours.. The neuropathy has moved up past my ankles now and that concerns me a great deal, but so far the EM is remaining in the feet and mostly the toes.. I still count myself very fortunate that it isn't as bad as some other folks have it, and continue to pray for the grace to live a life of peace and joy for all of us…

F&M doesn't do the trick for everybody, unfortunately.. but for those of us it does help, it's a blessing indeed.. At the present time, I'm trying out the Compounded prescription and not liking the effects nearly as much… Where the F&M was keeping the flares down for as much as 2 days!! the Compounded Rx has to be applied every 4 hours or so.. my feet even woke me up at 4:30 a.m. today and I had to put some more on… then I woke up around 9:00 a.m. with tingling edgy feeling in feet and calves and put more on again… Guess I'll continue with the Compound cream for another day or two, but at this point I'm just not liking it… I will probably go back to using the Frankincense and Myrrh after that… So sorry it didn't help you, but don't give up searching for something that will… I get discouraged sometimes, but I find it hard to quit trying…

By the way, did you try the Frankincense and Myrrh oil with Coconut Oil instead of hand lotion? Two things come to mind about that… 1. Coconut Oil has sugar in it (which is poison to me!) and 2. Coconut Oil is thicker and as I stated in one of my posts, any lotion etc that is more solid seems to prevent the oil from penetrating into the skin.. I tried Cetaphil with it and it did nothing for me.. Note: I use a dab of my face cream with the oil and it works great for me..

One more thing: Did you use the Frankincense and Mrryh NEUROPATHY? That's the way it is printed on the box label and it comes with an eyedropper inside the bottle.. It costs about $20 and will last a very long time.. I have only used about 1/2 of my first bottle so far and have been using it for well over a month… Little tricks along the way help, but it's important to learn all that we can about anything we use before we try it on ourselves.. Good luck to you!
