Bone loss after Prolia even with bisphosphonate?

I'm on Prolia. I took FORTEO followed by Evenity but still had -4.2 lumbar. (From -5.4) My doctor recommended Prolia because she said the gains with bisphosphonates tend to level off more quickly. I told her I only wanted to stay on Prolia 3 years then Reclast for three then skip a year and try Evenity again. I thought she was listening. After my first injection I learned that when you stop Prolia even with a bisphosphonate following it you lose on average 30% or more bone density and can even still have rebound fractures. Some people have to take multiple injections of Reclast in the first year. I would have liked to know that. My doctor confirmed all of this, but didn't tell me any of it until after my injection. My physician also told me that she doesn't take people off Prolia until they reach at least a -2.5 T-Score. I'll never reach that. There really is what people call a Prolia Trap. I'm in it. Wondering if any of you are in the same situation or what your experience was transitioning to a bisphosphonate.

Sorry to hear about the dilemma you find yourself in with Prolia. I didn't show improvement on alendronate, and Prolia was offered, but I'm turned off by hearing stories like yours. Hope you can find a solution.

How many injections have you had of Prolia? Do you know your CTX value before you started any medications?
