First Reclast Infusion went well!

Posted by janeted @janeted, Dec 6, 2025

I had my first Reclast Infusion on Thursday afternoon. Today is Saturday. So far so good. I was so apprehensive after reading about the possible side effects, but I reread all the info on this site and felt I was prepared. I took Claritan the two evenings before and two nights afterwards. Took Tylenol the night before and for the following days. drank lots of water, some with hydration electrolytes in it. I had a 30 minute infusion and made sure I took it easy for the rest of the day and the next day. I’m hoping that by day 3, tomorrow, I can rest easy that I won’t have any further side effects. Nurse did tell me that when they increased from the 15 to the 30 minute drip the side effect rate plummeted. So very glad for this site and all the info I was able to gather. Thank you ladies!

@hooner that is great. I had my first Reclast infusion two days ago and so far so good but I know it is still possible I will have serious side effects. So hopeful but keeping my fingers crossed. Congrats again.

I had my first Reclast infusion on 9/17/25. Had hydrated well before. Only side effect was some aching and low grade headache 24-36 hours post infusion. Nothing since. Hoping for good results!

Update. It’s been a week tomorrow since my
First reclast infusion. All is good, Thank God! I’d suggest anyone facing an infusion to read all the suggestions and follow them! Worked for me!
