First appointments to qualify for zephyr valves
Can anyone tell me what tests are done first to qualify? I have my first day set-up with 5 appointments. I asked if there would be more appointments but she was unable to tell me. However I was told before that this part would be between 3 to 5 days. I like to plan ahead on things especially this since someone has to travel with me to Rochester and we need to set up where to stay , but for how long? Just confused on this process.

It is hard question to answer seeing every patient is an individual. They may not know what additional testing / appointments are needed till see results of first tests. One thing I can tell you about Mayo, testing results are available fast and you and your provider will see shortly after test.
Do you have a provider appointment schedule, and is before or after tests?
Not sure what location going to, but most hotels that are close to Mayo are flexible if need to stay shorter or longer.

Yes i have an appointment with a provider and it's after the tests. I was just hoping that I could plan a little better by knowing what other tests they might do if needed. Yes I'm aware of the concierge srvs. Thank you for your help
I was able to coordinate with my regular pulmo physician where I live and with the facility that placed by valves. All the teting was done at home and results were sent to the referring facility. However, Mayo may want their own test done by their Team. But worth a try as it would save time away from home and expenses. Glad you are pursing the valves......mine were quite successful.
