Finding Doctors Specializing in Post Covid Treatment
I was competitive tennis player and runner prior to covid 3 months ago. Now have crazy muscle issues and even some small rash/bumps on skin for some reason, and finding any doctor that actually believe Covid is real has been tough. I know Mayo has post covid clinic, but I am in Phoenix, AZ. Primary care physicians seem a little useless these days in regards to post covid treatment. If anyone has suggestions on actually finding the right care for us Covid long haul types, please feel free to comment with suggestions. I see a lot of places marketing they have post covid programs, like Banner Health, but think that is more for marketing because I have not seen anything that relates to a true group of doctor's interested in post covid care.

@aztennisguy a resource often cited by @sueinmn is COVID Survivor Corps https://www.survivorcorps.com/

I had a mild case of Covid in July 2020. Since then I have had spontaneous bruising and rashes that burn and itch. Tried cortisone cream and cerave cream with short periods of relief. I am a patient at Mayo in Arizona and doctors don’t seem to listen when I associate these with Covid. I asked if there was a Covid Long Haulers group and was told there was none. I am so frustrated!
@azdreamer, oh dear. Well I sure am glad you found the Mayo Clinic COVID long haulers group right here. Perhaps you could return to tell the doctors about Mayo Clinic Connect 🙂
I'd also like to point you to the Post-COVID Recovery blog written by Mayo doctor's researching and specializing in long haul COVID. See here:

Let me know if you have any questions.
I think they don't know enough about post covid, that is why I went to mayo clinic from Indiana. I went to doctor 6 weeks after my mayo visit, and he isn't sure but he says he "can't really treat me without wasting my money " unless I change my habits especially eating habits if I don't change them he says nothing will work. He is a general practice but he also does acupuncture which was my main reason to see him.
I don't eat the best I admit but I also cook my meals rarely eat out, drink mostly water occasionally mixed drink or soda. I was very frustrated. I hope you can find someone that understands post covid. I get it
