Fibromyalgia and weight loss strategies

Hi all,
I have been diagnosed with FMS and went through the Mayo fibromyalgia clinic in June of 2023. I also have chronic fatigue syndrome. I know the tools that they gave me to work through this disease, and I have seen success with a lot of them when I can focus on doing them. My main problem, however, is creating and maintaining a balanced life. As a mother of 4 kids, it seems my life is constantly busy with physical and mental demands, leaving very little time for me to "take care of myself". I feel like I am always just hanging by a thread, so when it comes time to grocery shop, plan meals, exercise, meditate, etc, I can do nothing but go lay down.
So I was thinking, if I could at least get my weight down, that alone would give me more energy and less pain on my joints. I am mildly obese, and have put on weight since my FMS started a few years ago. I have done the Mayo Clinic diet with some success in the past, and I know that could work again but I just don't have the time or energy at this point in my life to do it. So I started reading about weight loss injections, and I am wondering if anyone has done them with success? I know they are not a long term solution, but I feel like if I had a better handle on my weight I would be able to focus more on all the other things in my life that need adjusting.
I know that until my kids are grown that life will continue to be chaotic. And until then I will always suffer the consequences of over doing things so I can be there for my family. But I would love to hear if anyone has had success or failure going this route. Thanks in advance.

I’ve had some success on Wygovy. I lost 30 lbs (I started at 263). I do find that when I stop taking the medicine, I am putting some of the weight back on. My doctor thought I might see a reduction in my Fibro symptoms because she said losing weight should reduce inflammation but that didn’t happen for me.
I will say my food cravings just go away when I’m on Wygovy, which is fantastic. Otherwise I crave sweets.
I’m guess I’m lucky in that I don’t have any side effects (except constipation - but that’s just as likely to be caused by the Tramadol I take daily).
You do have to have a BMI of some level (I’m sorry I don’t know the exact amount) for insurance to cover it. I couldn’t afford it without insurance.
Good luck! And I wish you all the best.
