Feels like a painful underground zit on the bridge of my nose

Posted by milesmon @milesmon, Mar 1 2:39pm

It really hurts. Never had it before. Woke up yesterday and it feels like I walked into a wall. I had like a skin tag up at the top of my right nostril. I used tweezers to try and pull it out. Lots of tears flowing and mouth watering while trying to get it. Now tge outside of my nose at the top right that is really tender and painful. Any ideas for what it is??

Would not even try to give you advise on what this is.

When you talk about outside the skin and nose I always fear skin cancer but most skin tags and spots are not skin cancer but can be something a dermatologist needs to look at. If inside can be an infected hair, etc.

I am trying to understand if you are talking about something inside your nose or outside on the skin. If inside nose would suggest a ENT. They will numb the inside of nose and look at it with a special camera. Most like May will record it and show you what they found.

If outside would suggest see a dermatologist. An experienced dermatologist can look at the spot using a special light. If they suspect cancer can do a biopsy. If pre cancer can remove it by freezing or other treatment.

Most PCP will referr you to either a ENT or dermatiologist if you come to them with those symptoms as it really needs a expert in that field unless you have a very experienced PCP in those fields.
