Hi, @hoops17 - I'm guessing others also want to know how to cook good food with a microscopic colitis diagnosis. Wondering if your doctor gave you any tips or recommendations, or a registered dietician that the doctor may have sent you to?

My doctor didn’t give me any guidance. I’m waiting on the hospital groups Dietician to call me back. I did order a microscopic colitis cook book written by an RDN, so we’ll see.

I came across an interesting study about tryptophan and the effectiveness of Budesonide and tryptophan - searching those two terms should take you to PubMed and the NIH National Library of Medicine.
here's the exact title - "Reduced Intake of Dietary Tryptophan Improves Beneficial Action of Budesonide in Patients with Lymphocytic Colitis and Mood Disorders"

@hoops17, I believe this is the study you are referring to:

When is your appointment with the dietitian? I'll be interested in hearing what you learn.

That's it! I wasn't allowed to post a link...a policy that makes complete sense.
If I can get the dietician on the phone, or if they'd call me back, that would help....sigh.
But I will definitely be updating.
