Faucet that works with Pall filter for kitchen
Dear Friends,
I just decided to buy a Pall filter for my kitchen b/c I spend a lot of time at the sink and am always anxious about aerosolizing MAC from my pull-out faucet.
I already purchased the Pall filter, and am now looking for a new faucet that will be easily compatible with the Pall. Can those who have the Pall installed in their kitchens please tell me what brand and model of faucet you have that works with the Pall?
Many thanks in advance,
Aida

I also have a lot of sediment in my water and wish to get an undersink carbon filter to clean out sediment before water passes to point-of-use Pall filter on spout. Any suggestions from someone who has done it?
We have a two-stage filter under the sink. The first filters sediment down to one micron and removes it. The second is a medical-grade .2 micron filter. The water runs to a tap right there. Filters are changed as soon as the flow at the tap slows - typically 3 months. We change the short tubing at the same time, although it should be okay as it is after filtering.
Sorry - no brand names for you - this was created by my spouse for our exact needs over a period of time.
Where did y’all get the pall filters and which one do you have?
Thanks!
Thank you, Sue. So your tap is under the sink? The filtered water is not at the sink itself? I’m confused! If it water needs to travel up to sink from filters under sink then that isn’t strictly point of use b/c it has to go through some line before reaching your faucet, no?
The waterline comes up to the sink. It was cut and the filter system installed before the tap. A short length of tubing runs up to the faucet on top of the sink. It is next to the cold water tap in the hole where a soap dispenser might be.

Hi Sue,
Couldn’t you please, at least, share the brands of the 1 and 0.2 micron filters that you use?
Thank you!
Only because you asked so nicely! Here is the info for .2 micron cartridges for an undersink water filter system.
Here is the most recent 0.2micron filter we are using:

Here is a previous set I ordered and found satisfactory.

We change the 5 micron filter every 3 months at home, every 2 months at our seasonal home (much cruddier water.) This setup fits a standard 10" 2 cartridge system. We have used the .2 micron filter in an in-line cartridge in our tiny camper - we get max 4-5 weeks use before it begins to clog, but are debating whether to add the bulk and weight of a 2 filter system. We switched to the BluTech because it is what the dentist's office uses. They place bottled spring water in their reservoir, then filter it through the .2 micron filter to the drill.
Thank you, Sue, for your kind response!
Do you have the filtered water through the your regular kitchen faucet or have a separate faucet? This is related to the delivery rate: how many gallons/minute do you get?
