Fat Necrosis

I have lumps where lymph nodes are that are sore. Onc says it's just fat necrosis. My surgeon told me to cone see her for any concerns of lumps. ( I did have a lump appear right before my reconstruction surgery that surgeon took out and it was fat necrosis). I don't want to bother my surgeon for nothing, but anyone think I should get her opinion if this is fat necrosis? My oncologist didn't do ultrasound or anything. Just said she wasn't concerned.

See the surgeon you are not bothering her, this is what they do, they want to see you. Think of it this way it confirms what they know. Besides you are not experienced or trained in determining the difference in fat necrosis vs malignant lump let the surgeon decide. I’m a HCP myself and I really get frustrated when people say” I don’t want to bother you”

I have several far necrosis lumps; after a year only a couple remain. I just had my mammogram and all is well. The lumps bothered me ) still do as they hurt) surgeon and assistants said to massage and they will. be absorbed.
