Hello Chris @tiredchrisuk01, Welcome to Connect. I have never done a water only fast for 2 days let alone doing it for 7 days. I have been able to go longer and longer without solid food by starting slow with intermittent fasting. I did find a couple of sites for water fasting retreats in the UK but they were Devon area.

--- Sura Detox: https://www.suradetox.co.uk/the-venue

I'm a little short on willpower sometimes too. Here are some tips that might help with improving your willpower.

One thing that helped me when I first started intermittent fasting was to do the 16 hour fasting with 8 hour eating window until I was able to do the 18 hour/6 hour plan. Then when that became easier I worked on the 20 hour fasting with 4 hour eating window until I could do it up to a week at a time.

Do you have any friends or family close by that can help you or can you try to gradually do the water fasting yourself and build up to seven days?

I am in a similar situation and live in East Lancashire and would be interested in offering mutual support to fast at home.
I am in my late 60s, female, morbidly obese with damaged knees. I am a compulsive eater and managed three days water only tasting last year without much effort. I just drank water whenever I felt hungry but did need to clear my kitchen cupboards of food before I started and not need to leave home for the whole time to avoid temptation.
I need to do it again, but am finding it hard to get back into the right frame of mind.
