Hi!
I haven't had this but it sounds like your eyes are reacting to the Anastrozole. Perhaps you should stop taking it and see if your vision clears up. We all react differently to medications. Also contact your doctor and let him know what is happening. Read the enclosures that came with your medication. That may explain your problem. It could be a side effect of Anastrozole.
Say a prayer about your problem. They always help.

vision side effect from anastrozole can range from inconvenient to quite serious. Please contact your physician.

2 ReactionsI have had blurry vision from a immunotherapy, what it was actually from is the eyes getting dry, had no idea until I read another post and did speak with my doctor and she did say that the blurriness can be caused by dry eyes.

2 ReactionsI just went to eye Doc and my cataract lense has a film that needs some cleaning (ive heard this is not unusual). Before stopping meds, be sure to have eyes looked at.

1 ReactionYes! I am 59, postmenopausal. I know I have dry eyes from Lasik, but dang, Anastrozole was causing the dryness to be so severe, despite every possible intervention and drop, I had double vision constantly. That...and a slew of other unpleasantries. So, currently on Tamoxifen. Not sure exactly why that one, but it's the one they suggested, so far so good.

2 Reactions@tonysmom, did you see the helpful responses from fellow members? Might dry eyes be contributing to the blurriness? Did you talk to your oncologist about the vision issues?

1 Reaction@tonysmom, any update after discussing with your oncologist? How are you doing?
Since taking my AI ( first was Anastrozole and am now on Exemestane) my eyes have become very dry. Never thought to connect it to the medications. My nose also runs 24/7. I keep eye drops eveywhere and have boxes of kleenex in every room of the house!! I will definitely be discussing it with my Dr.!!
She looked at my numbers and said the tumors shrunk in size from when they were first measured and surgery size. I took Anastrozole 3 months before. So the Anastrozole is working. She did not seem to be concerned about my choice not to radiate. Time will tell. It's only been 3 months. She told me to see my ophthalmologist about eyes, but she sees no correlation.
