Experiencing sounds and pain in bone joints

Posted by needs2know @needs2know, Apr 23 4:45am

My legs and arms are aching lately. I'm feeling pain and hearing popping/cracking noises in the joints. Is this a picture of something specific. Also, could Copd cause this?

Hard to say for certain until you are evaluated but I have osteoarthritis that presents with popping and cracking in the joints. Especially the knees that in turn cause Bakers Cyst behind the knees. Shoulders as well and rotator cuff issues in shoulders also pop in the joint.
Hope you find answers soon.

Try a visit to an MFR therapist you can find a section here at the Mayo Clinic. If you’re not having much pain with it, it might just be your joint capsules relieving stress. Try exercise as well to strengthen the area.

Great advice. I can hear and feel my shoulder joint moving around. I've seen a surgeon and it needs to be replaced. The MRI revealed an intact rotator cuff. I can live with it for a while, but eventually it will have to be replaced.

So yeah, the best thing to do is consult with an ortho specialist.
