Experience hearing loss low tones only?
Hello. My experience is a bit different than most, hearing loss of low tones only. MRI and CT show no cause factors. ENT is ready to fit me with a hearing aid when severe enough! Would appreciate any info/ experiences the group could share.

whatnow1957, I too was having problems with hearing low tones, but, when I was tested, I actually had
high frequency hearing loss. I also have tinnitus (ringing in the right hear, clicking in the left). I got hearing
aids 1.5 ago and it has been wonderful. Yes, there is an adjustment period to them.....3-6 months for me.
I put it off because I didn't want to wear hearing aids, but, I am so glad I got them. I can hear conversations in
the home so much better. Unless you look for them, you don't even notice I have them in.
You will be amazed at how much better you can hear and what you have been missing!
Blessings & Prayers....

I am glad your decision to wear hearing aids is working out for you. I am a 45+ plus year wearer of Bilateral hearing aids. I now wear Behind the Ear aids with tubing and custom molds and don’t care if anyone notices. Why would I care? Does anyone care if you wear glasses ? Let’s stop the stigma of wearing hearing aids and show them off. The advertising companies are to blame
for trying to hide hearing loss and we go along with it.
Most people don’t notice my aids but I would rather they did because it helps me if they do and many conversations have been started about hearing loss. My hair is short. Really, it’s no different than glasses or canes or anything else you need.
This is a pet peeve for me .
Enjoy the hearing experience.
